This is Hale's fifth year hosting "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2021" and second in Times Square. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the event will be closed to the public with the exception of a "small" and "mighty" group of frontline workers, Hale said.
